Gov. Scott Walker released emails of conversations between himself and Democrats to show that he's negotiating. The emails do in fact show proposals and counter-proposals between Walker and some of the Democrats. However, he's trying to negotiate just how many collective bargaining rights he can strip away. Collective bargaining rights for public employees are not under negotiation. We know they have no effect on the budget. The repeal of collective bargaining rights for all public employees must be removed from the bill, and negotiation on other aspects of the bill need to take place. That's what we're talking about.
Read the emails for yourself to see just how surgical the proposals are to collective bargaining rights.
