Well you can tell Walker and the Republicans are getting desperate. Walker has ignored a court order since yesterday to open the Capitol building as required by law, and the Republicans finally figured out that their empty threats won't bring the Wisconsin 14 back. Instead, the Senate Republicans have tried to make their lives a living hell. The Republicans have voted to deny access to copy machines, require majority leader approval of staff timesheets, and cancel the senators' direct deposit.
Now the Republicans have voted to charge $100 every day the Wisconsin 14 doesn't show up. The Republicans are also charging the Democrats with the cost to send cops to get them, a Republican political stunt. So now the Democrats will have to pay for the choices the Republicans made. Something tells me this latest decision may be illegal. I'd like to know where that money is going to go, as a taxpayer I would gladly pay the Wisconsin 14 to stay as far away as possible. The Wisconsin 14 work for us, not Walker as he seems to think.
